Do I need prior acting experience?

All levels are welcome. Just come to class with an open heart.

Do you accept minors as students?

At the moment, we are only accepting students who are 18 years old and above. We have yet to develop a program for children and teens. Stay tuned!

Is it all in-person?

We’re coming back online very soon! For those who are in other countries or other provinces in the Philippines, we will provide online classes via Zoom for everyone’s safety and convenience. Stay tuned!

What system/other requirements are needed to participate in your online classes?

You will need a laptop, a computer with a webcam, a notebook or a smartphone with a camera, and a strong internet connection.

Do I have to start at Level 1 or can I go straight to the other levels?

Everyone starts at the Beginner Level regardless of prior training or experience, especially if you are new to Meisner. If you have studied Meisner before, we will assess where your training is at in relation to our program and promote accordingly.

Is the Meisner Technique only for on-camera acting, or can I use it in theater?

The Meisner Technique is effective for all mediums. You will learn to work in a soap opera or a film as readily as you would work in a play, to feel as comfortable onstage as you do in front of a camera. The Technique helps you apply your talents to several mediums and help you thrive in the business of acting.

What is your refund policy?

Refund Policy. Tuition payments are non-refundable. Actors need to be committed to their classes as they would be if they were doing professional acting work.

Deferment Policy. You may choose to defer enrollment anytime up to 7 days prior to the start date of classes. This is free of charge. Simply let us know in writing via email.

If you need to defer once enrollment closes or classes are already underway, there is a 50% deferment fee to join the next batch.

In the unlikely event that Meisner Studio Manila cancels classes for any reason, a full refund is issued.

Do you offer scholarships or financial aid?

We understand the challenge for actors to find work, therefore we offer at least one slot for scholars in every class. In return, the scholar is expected to perform duties as a student assistant to Ms. Angeli. If you strongly feel that you need to learn the Meisner Technique, but are unable to pay, book a free consultation with Ms. Angeli.
