The Meisner technique is an approach to acting which was developed by the American theatre practitioner Sanford Meisner. The focus of the technique is for actors to "get out of their heads" and behave instinctively. Exercises are rooted in Repetition, in which actors learn to take the attention off themselves and put it on their partners’ real behavior, allowing it to affect them and cause a truthful reaction. The Meisner technique developed the behavioral strand of Stanislavski's system.

Our Teacher
The Founder and Head Teacher of Meisner Studio Manila, Angeli is a multi-award-winning actress best known for starring in art-house and independent films. She has also served as main jury in several local and international film festivals.
Angeli received the title of Designated Meisner Teacher upon completion of her teacher training under Scott Trost, Executive Director of the Meisner Institute in L.A., USA. As someone who believes that one must never stop learning, she continues to train under Mr. Froilan Betancor-Toner of Playhouse West LA.
